A new prospect wants to know what you offer and what it costs. A client wants to work with you on a new project. Be ready at a moment's notice with an agreement template already filled with the work you do the most and the rates you offer.

Create a new agreement template

The easiest way to create an agreement template is from an existing agreement. Navigate to the agreement (quote, proposal, contract) you want (client>agreements). Click the 3 dots in the upper right corner and choose "Create template."

You can also start a new agreement template from scratch from the workspace settings in the lower left > templates > agreements. Click the + to create a new template.

Name your agreement template in the upper left header to make it easy to remember.

All fields are editable simply by clicking them. Add the name of the project and its tasks. Then click "Setup fees" to choose your fee type (hourly, fixed price, retainer, per item) and the amount you'll be paid. Optionally, add your hour estimate. Read more about creating agreements here.

Agreement templates allow you to use client tokens anywhere in the template. This can be useful if you have a custom contract - or simply want to reference the client name throughout the agreement. The list of available tokens is:

{{Client.Name}}

{{Client.Country}}

{{Client.Address1}}

{{Client.Address2}}

{{Client.City}}

{{Client.Locality}}

{{Client.Postal}}

{{Client.Phone}}

{{Client.Website}}

{{Client.Currency}}

{{Client.TaxId}}

{{Contact.FirstName}}

{{Contact.LastName}}

{{Contact.Email}}

{{Contact.Phone}}

{{Date.MMDDYYYY}}

{{Date.DDMMYYYY}}

{{Date.12HR}}

{{Date.24HR}}

Pro-tip: If you bill by retainer, Moxie allows you to add in an overage payment amount based on the number of hours over your retainer that you track. This is set in the projects settings which can be accessed by hovering over a project name and clicking the edit icon.

When you add tasks to this project, they can be automatically added to project management once the proposal is a fully executed contract. (Toggle this setting in workspace settings > preferences > agreements.)

You can allow your clients to choose one, multiple, or all packages. Choose to add contract terms and/or legal terms. Your agreement template will auto save with each change. Edit or use your new template at a moment's notice.

You can create a new template or overwrite an existing template.

Using agreement templates

To send an agreement from templates, simply navigate to the client you want to send an agreement to (or create a new one) and click on the agreement tab. Click the + and then "Start from your library."

You'll be able to edit your agreement before sending it. Make this process even easier by creating project templates.
